Section 4 – First-Aid Measures
• If Swallowed: Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical help or contact poison control. High aspiration risk – may cause fatal chemical pneumonia.
• If Inhaled: Move to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms like dizziness or respiratory irritation persist.
• If in Eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
• If on Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention if a rash, irritation, or allergic reaction develops.
Section 5 – Fire-Fighting Measures
• Hazards: Flammable liquid and vapor. Waxes are combustible.
• Suitable Extinguishing Media: Foam, dry chemical, COâ‚‚.
• Unsuitable Media: Avoid direct water jet, as it may spread burning liquid.
• Firefighting: Fire may produce hazardous, dense vapors.
Section 6 – Accidental Release Measures
• Containment: Ventilate the area and eliminate all ignition sources.
• Cleanup: Wear protective equipment. Contain the spill and absorb with inert material (e.g., sand, earth, vermiculite).
• Disposal: Dispose of absorbed material per local, state, and federal regulations.
Section 7 – Handling and Storage
• Storage: Store in a child-resistant squeezable HDPE container (16 C.F.R. Part 1700 compliant). Keep sealed tightly when not in use.
• Handling: Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and incompatible materials.
• Temperature: Do not expose to temperatures above 120°F (49°C). Do not puncture or incinerate the container.
Section 8 – Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
• Ventilation: Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
• Avoidance: Avoid inhalation of vapors, ingestion, and direct skin/eye contact.
• PPE: Protective gloves, eye protection, and adequate ventilation are recommended during manufacturing, handling, and application.
Section 9 – Physical and Chemical Properties
• Appearance: Viscous liquid / gel
• Odor: Mild petroleum / Eucalyptus / Pine
• Physical State: Flammable liquid/gel mixture
• Other Properties: Vapors are heavier than air and may travel to an ignition source.
Section 10 – Stability and Reactivity
• Stability: Stable under recommended storage conditions.
• Reactivity: Hazardous reactions possible when exposed to ignition sources.
• Conditions to Avoid: Heat, sparks, open flames, and strong oxidizing agents.
Section 11 – Toxicological Information
• Routes of Exposure: Inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, eye contact.
• Health Effects: Headache, dizziness, drowsiness, respiratory irritation. Severe aspiration hazard (chemical pneumonia, fatal if aspirated). Skin/eye irritation and potential skin sensitization (allergic dermatitis).
Section 12 – Other Information
• Keep out of reach of children.
• For intended use only.
• Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability: User accepts the risks of handling a flammable/hazardous substance, misuse, and the inherent risks of ice hockey. Hockey Goblin L.L.C. is not liable for misuse or inconsistent use.
